Welcome!

With the proper training, and possibly adaptive aids, blind and visually impaired people can continue the same activities they enjoyed before their vision loss, and remain living independently within their homes. For example, some basic adaptations enable our participants to garden, cook, perform woodwork, bowl and golf, sew clothes, play board games or cards, and several other activities. All of our services work towards improving the quality of life and level of independence available to blind and visually impaired participants.

Our Mission

The mission of Lilac Services for the Blind is to provide blind and visually-impaired people with the training and adaptive devices that will allow them to live satisfying lives by restoring, maintaining, or increasing their independence.
